Sattahip Crazy Drugs Donation

Donation centres have been set up all over the region to collect essential items like food and clothing and daily necessities to help the flood victims who are struggling to survive after the recent spell of heavy rains.

The general public have responded admirably. Sometimes the folks donate items, sometimes they donate money. On Saturday morning the 14th of October a most unusual donation was made at a centre in Sattahip. A guy walking in and donated a bag containing 11 Yaa Baa tablets (Methamphetamine tablets) and suggested that they sell the tablets, value about 3,000 Baht and use the money for flood relief aid.

Volunteers were understandably flabbergasted ad the authorities were notified. Drug suppression agents from the local Thai naval base promptly came along and arrested a Mr. Jakrukat aged 39. It seems that Mr. Jakrukat had already consumed several tablets that morning of Yaa Baa or the crazy drug if one uses the literal translation, which prompted him into having the crazy idea of making this crazy donation.

Mr. Jakrukat, who already has form and has served time for drug trafficking gave up the name of his supplier Khun Jumlong who dealt out of the Map Ta Put Industrial Area in Rayong Province. He is currently helping the agents with their enquiries. The agents raided Mr. Jakrukat's home but found no more drugs. The only thing of interest was a .38 calibre gun and ammunition which were duly confiscated and certainly not donated to help in relief for the flood victims.
