Pesticide Suicide in Chonburi

Chonburi police were called in by a rescue Foundation unit who had found a dead man inside a vehicle. The police found an Isuzu vehicle with the driver slumped in the driver's seat. There was an empty bottle of pesticide in the vehicle and vomit inside and outside the car. It appears that the driver Khun Angat had committed suicide by swallowing the pesticide.

The daughter of the deceased Miss Khawanjai aged 16 told the police that her father worked as a driver for an office supply company and that he was experiencing severe financial difficulties at the time.

Khun Angat was transported to hospital for a full post mortem to be carried out to determine the actual cause of death before the body can be released to the family for funeral rites to be carried out.
