In the early hours of Monday mornining Pattaya police Leutenant Kwanchai was called to The Ibis Hotel on soi 1 in Central Pattaya after an Iranian tourist had been detained by security guards for molesting a 13 year old girl.
The young lady, her name was not given for obvious reasons, had been asked by her mother to go up to their hotel room on the fourth floor to collect the family's pet dog that was sick and needed to be taken to see a vet.
On the way back down the lift stopped on the third floor and the Iranian tourist Mr. Amin Azizi aged 29 entered the lift. He at first stroked the dog and then pinned her in a corner of the lift, tried to embrace her and then proceeded to try to molest her. The lift was soon down to the ground floor and she ran to her mother who was waiting for her in the lobby.
Security guards were informed who grabbed the Iranian and held him until police arrived on scene. Police are investigating and expect charges to be filed shortly.
