At 8 am am on the 6th of December Police Leutenant Kriangkraiwut of the Pattaya police received a report of a fatal road accident on Sukhumvit Road. At the scene on Sukhumvit Road, Central Pattaya, near to Pattaya School Number 5, he found the body of a Khun Kanchana and her damaged Honda Click motorcycle
Khun Kanchana was laying in a pool of blood and had sustained terrible injuries after being run over by a truck. Inquiries shows that shew had just dropped her child off at school and was on her way home.
A witness Khun Somsak aged 51 said that he had seen the lady driving her motorcycle fairly slowly in the left lane when a large 6 wheel truck barrelled down the left side, appeared not to see the motorcycle at all and hit the bike resulting in the rider being thrown under the wheels.
The truck did not stop and carried on headed towards North Pattaya. The police are making further investigations and hope that CCTV footage in the area may shed some light on the truck and lead to the apprehension of it's driver.
