At the Maryvit school in Pattaya a generous cheque was handed over by Khun Chuan representative of Marywit schools to Khun Silvio the Bishop of Chantaburi which will be used to help victims of the recent Typhoon Haynan which devastated parts of The Philippines recently leaving many dead and even more in need of basic supplies and assistance.
The cheque for 1,263,706 baht was raised from teachers, students and parents from the Marywit schools in Pattaya, Sattahip and Bowin. The Maryvit schools employ many Filipino teachers and they feel a particular affinity with the victims of their neighbours in The Philippines.
