At 8.30am on the 20th of December an opening ceremony was held for the 4th annual schools Nongprue Children's sports day.
The vice mayor of Nongprue officiated over the ceremony with senior members of the Nongprue municipality, and school officials in attendance. A school orchestra played in a procession of the participating teams and then the parade assembled to raise the Thai flag up the flagpole and sang the Thai National Anthem.
The competitors then made their way to their team sectors ready for the games to begin. Students from kindergarten to year 3 will competed in many sports over the day to the enthusiastic cheers of their team members, teachers and parents.
