At Central Festival Pattaya Beach the Deputy Mayor of Pattaya Khun Wattana presided over the opening ceremony of the International Marching Band Competition and Thailand World Music Champion 2013. The competition is recognized by international organizations such as the Asia-Pacific Marching Band Association.
The competition held over three days the 12th to 14th of December and two venues Beach Road Pattaya and The Eastern National Sports Center Soi Chaiyapreuk2 will see teams fom across Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand compete in a wide range of marching band contests including: Marching Show Band, Concert Band, Drumline, Battle of Brassline, Battle of Individual & Battle of Ensemble and Street Parade.
The contest has been organized to encourage children and youth to have mental focus, discipline, love and unity in the community and of course bring attention to Pattaya as the place to be for children to have fun.
