Pattaya Police Colonel Supachai led a team to investigate a serious allegation of attempted rape of an 18 year old girl travelling to Pattaya on a mini van. The girl had got on the van in Bangkok at 9pm to travel to Pattaya to meet her boyfriend.
As it was the last trip of the day the driver thought it would be a good idea to start his evening drinking session a little early and started cracking open a few cool cans of beer on the journey.
The van emptied as passengers got off en route and she found herself the only passenger. The driver aged somewhere between 20-25 told her to get in the front seat and as he drove on he molested her. Then after re-fueling in Sriracha he forced her into the back of the van and attempted to rape her.
The girl gave him a line that he should wait till they get to Pattaya where she was meeting her brother and she would let him have his way with her.
The driver agreed, knocked back another beer and completed his trip ending up at his terminal in Central Pattaya Road. As they got to Pattaya the girl called her boyfriend who rushed to meet her.
The drunken randy van driver was more than a little taken aback when instead of a an easy lay he was confronted with the young lady's boyfriend who grabbed the van keys and then proceeded to give him a Pattaya welcome - several punches in the nose.
The now boozed up and bloody driver then did what most Thai drivers do when they are caught out - he did a runner. The police are looking into the van company records and hope to track down the now ex van driver.
