Pick-up Leaks LPG Gas in South Pattaya

A unit of The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation was dispatched to provide assistance after their control centre received a report of a gas leakage from a vehicle in South Pattaya. At the scene outside a shop on Soi Korai in South Pattaya they found a white pickup truck that the shop used for it's deliveries.

A large amount of LPG gas could be seen emitting from the under side of the vehicle. The rescuers were unable to access the shut off valve to stop the leak and decided to let it leak out. Meanwhile they cordoned off the area in case there was an explosion or fire. It took over an hour for the gas to finish leaking out and the rescuers could remove the cordon and declare the scene safe for locals to return to their homes and businesses.

The owner of the store and the pick-up truck Khun Direk aged 45 said that he was moving stock at the front of the shop when he heard a loud bang and then saw gas flowing out from the gas valve.
