Dog Caught in Iron Fence in Sriracha

A unit from The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation in Sriracha was called out to help free a dog trapped in an iron gate.

At the scene at a residence at the side of a banana plantation on Moo 2 in Sarasak District Sriracha they found a female dog trapped by the head in an iron gate. The dog was in a lot of pain, barking furiously. They covered the dog's head and muzzle with a cloth and proceeded to start the extraction procedure. Using metal cutting and stretching equipment it took about 20 minutes to free the animal. Once free of the iron mask the dog ran away and took shelter underneath a nearby car.

Local residents said that the dog had been left locked in the house without food or water whilst the owners went upcountry to celebrate Songkran. It is thought that the dog had managed to escape the house to look for food but unfortunately got stuck in the iron fence. The barking noises had prompted a member of the public to call in rescuers for help.
