Sattahip Gun Toting Teens Beat Merchant

Police Colonel Chanaphat of the Sattahip Police was called to a fracas in Sattahip by a merchant who had been threatened with a gun and assaulted by 3 teenagers. At the scene at Sattahip market he arrested the three youths, two aged 15 and the other aged 16 he also took into evidence a Motorbike chain, a percussion-cap gun, size .357 and a motorcycle used by the attackers.

The incident appears to have been sparked by the merchant who had been hurling abuse his wife - the youths thought the remarks were aimed at them and went away to return shortly after armed with the bike chain and the fake gun. They fired the cap gun causing everyone to scatter. Folks did not realise at this time that the gun was fake Then they laid into the merchant giving him a beating.

The merchant did not want to press charges as they were just kids and the incident was just a miss-understanding.

The police handed the boys over to their parents who hopefully can curb their youthful exuberance and cap their fondness for guns no matter how fake they be. And maybe the merchant will learn to treat his wife more thoughtfully or at least quietly.
