Just after midnight on the 25th of November Police Lieutenant Colonel Anuchart from The Dongtan sub station of the Pattaya police was called to a construction site nearby after a report of a stabbing involving serious injury. He rushed to the scene along with a unit of the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Foundation to provide assistance.

At the scene, a workers camp on Mu 12 behind Jomtien Complex he found a Mr Damrong aged 37 a construction worker from Buriram Province who had sustained serious knife wounds to his neck and hands and was covered in blood. He was immediately transported to Bnglamung Hospital fort emergency treatment.

The attacker who caused the injuries appears to be a fellow construction worker Mr. Joe aged somewhere between 25 and 30 who fled the scene after the attack. The two had been drinking together after finishing work and discussing politics, in particular the current demonstrations that are occurring in Bangkok. This led to an altercation with bottles being broken and then Mr. Joe pulled out a knife and attacked his co-worker.
