Police Captain Chokchai of the Chonburi Drugs suppression Unit led a series of raids that led to the arrest of several drug dealers and the confiscation of a quantity of drugs that were packaged ready for distribution.
After receiving a tip off he first raided a house in Moo2 of Tambon Huai Kapi district in Chonburi where the arrest was made of a Miss Sarranya aged 24 who was in possession of 12 bottles of Yaa Ice with a weight of 2.66 grammes and total street value of over 20,000 Baht hidden in a closet.
The first raid led to information of more dealers in the same drugs network and a further raid on a house in Baan Suan district led to the arrest of a Mr Arak aged 42 and Miss Maneerat aged 24. Mr Arak who had just been released to prison and was paid 5,000 Baht for each drug run is now helping the police with their enquiries and further arrests are expected shortly.
