Thai Cultural Park Pattaya on Soi 2 Chayapruk

A stone laying ceremony was performed to mark the start of a new tourist project located on Soi 2 Chayapruk by the railway lines. A group of monks were invited to perform the Buddhist blessing of the elaborate carved foundation stones and Police Force Inspector General Koson oversaw the proceedings.

The Cultural park covers an area of 80 Rai of land and will host more than 200 shops and exhibitors which are said to be already 100% booked out.

The project is scheduled to open sometime around January of next year and will form the basis for a Thai cultural centre that will host a wide range of tourist orientated features and attractions. The Project will include Thai art and Thai cultural exhibits to show Thai and foreign tourists more of the history of Thailand along with traditional Thai handicraft skills like umbrella painting. A display of the Karen long neck hill tribe group, Buffalo racing is also on the cards as this has long been a popular tourist event in the Chonburi area. So bring along your straw hats and baskets of sticky rice for a memorable Isaan style event.
