On Aug the 8th At a mosque on Soi Siam Country Club in East Pattaya muslim worshipers and their families gathered to attend the Eid prayer ceremony. About 300 people attended the prayers including women and children.
Iman Abdul led the prayers on this special day in the Islam calender that denotes the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid the muslim New Year and then gave a sermon heighlighting the plight of fellow muslims in Afghanistan.
It is traditional at this time of New year for the congregation to wear new brightly coloured clothing and to donate generously to help the poor and needy.
