Youths Abducted by Gang Claiming to be Pattaya Police Officers

At 05:30 am on the 20 th of July Pattaya City police received a report from a Mr. Kawsin aged 20. His report stated that two days before on the 18th of july he had gone with some workmates to Big C Extra on Central Pattaya Road. They had gone there to meet a friend who worked at the supermarket.

Three men then approached them claiming to be police officers and took them to the parking garage under the store. There they were met by another group of men in a pick up truck. They were told to get in the car and black bags were put over their heads so that they wouldn't be able able to recognize their abductors and then they were driven off to a large house in Soi Nong Yai.

At the house they were forced to remove their shirts. And their wallets and ID cards were taken. They were questioned wether they had used drugs which they denied. The abductors then asked them to help them find jobs at the supermarket. They told them that they were just visitors and did not know anyone at the supermarket who could help them find a job.

He was held together with his friends at the house before being released the next afternoon. He then went home and told his parents what had happened to him. They listened and advised him to go to the police to see if the men who took him were realy policemen.

The police took his statement as evidence and will send a team to investigate CCTV footage at the supermarket to see if they can find some clues to shed more light on this story.
