Outside Pattaya City Hall Attempted Bag Snatch of Russian Tourist

It is only a few days since Police Region 2 Commander Adul held a New Year parade of police officers outside Pattaya City Hall and gave a stirring speech to encourage his staff to get out there and serve and protect citizens and tourists in the upcoming busy period over New Year.

Pattaya Police officers were called to a bag snatching incident that had just occurred on North Pattaya Road in front of Pattaya City Hall.

Two young Thai lads had ridden up alongside a couple of Russian tourists and tried to snatch the handbag of Miss Tatiana Zotova aged 28 who was walking from her hotel with her boyfriend. instead of the youth snatching the bag the Russians snatched the bag snatcher and his mate made off on the motorcycle only to be rounded up in Naklua a short time later.

The two failed bag snatchers aged 15 and 17 it appears were school mates and had hatched their snatch plans to obtain money to pay for nights out with their mates. The pair have been charged with attempted aggravated theft and will now have to face a judge and their parents.
