Jomtien Drains Construction

It is the rainy season in Pattaya again. It happens every year - it is called the monsoon season and is a totally natural event. Flooding is an inevitable consequence and is also totally natural but an efficient drainage system can mitigate the effects and give some relief for residents in the area.

Plans have been on the books for years and for years companies have been brought in to expand and improve the drains and sewers. Residents in Jomtien are getting a little tired though of having to endure the same problems year after year.

Dr. Virawat trade Deputy Mayor of Pattaya. Led a group of Pattaya city council members and staff of the Bureau of Sanitation Engineering District to inspect the progress of an updated drainage system where they laying 2-by-2-meter square underground pipes from Thepprasit Soi 7 to Wat Boonkanjanaram Soi 4

It is a complicated process which involves channels being dug and water being diverted while the new pipes are laid. The deputy Mayor urged the construction company to be diligent and complete this section as quickly as possible and also urged the residents to be as patient as possible as they face yet another messy monsoon season.
