Fire at North Pattaya Construction Site

In the early hours of the morning Pattaya Firefighters and Pattaya Police officers rushed to respond to reports of a fire at a condominium complex in North Pattaya. The city's disaster relief authorities co-ordinated the response dispatching a large number of fire fighting and rescue vehicles.

At the scene The W-Tower Beach Womg-amart Condominium in North Pattaya they found a blaze in progress in a corridor on the ground floor. The 30 floor condo tower is under construction with no one living their yet. Security guards at the site who had smelt smoke while they were patrolling the site had already started to tackle the fire and once the experts arrived the blaze was soon doused.

Construction equipment had been destroyed but the damage to the building was not significant. Officials are now in the process of trying to determine the cause of the fire and suspect a cigarette butt discarded by construction workers or an electrical short circuit are the two most likely culprits. They would need to return during daylight to conduct a more intensive forensic enquiry.
