Grocery Store Owner Robbed in Sattahip

Sattahip Police rushed to the scene of a robbery at a grocery shop in Sattahip. At the store they found the owner Khun Kornvikarn aged 37 who was still in a state of panic.

After calming down a bit she was able to tell the police what happened and give a description of the robber. She said that a tall young man aged somewhere between 25-30 had come in to the shop. He was dressed in a long sleeved blue shirt and long trousers.

The man ordered some beer and a bag of ice. He then asked the owner for a cardboard box to carry away his shopping. She went out the back to get him a box. Meanwhile he went behind the counter and snatched her handbag before rushing out of the shop and fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.

Khun Kornvikarn was distraught because the bag contained about 200,000 Baht and ATM cards. She and her husband had worked hard for the money and it was all gone in just a few seconds.

Police have some leads however as the thief was caught on a CCTV camera in the shop. They are now looking at other cameras in the area to see if more images can be found.
