Russian Touirist Falls From Pattaya Beach Booms and Drowns

The Controversial Beach Booms located along Pattaya and Jomtien Beaches which are used to define boating and swimming  areas so as to ensure the safety of tourists and locals alike have claimed yet another life this time on Pattaya Beach opposite Soi 10

In the early hours of the morning A unit of The Sawang Boriboon Thamasathan Rescue Foundation alerted by bystanders rushed to the scene to provide assistance. They found the body of a Russian male aged about 25 and his distraught fellow countryman.

Members of the public had already pulled the body of a Russian man from the water but despite all efforts to revive the man with CPR they could not initiate a spark of life. His friend looked on in anguish but was more and more resigned to the fact that what had been a pleasurable if drunken night out on Walking Street had turned into such a nightmare.

Witnesses said that they had seen the drunken pair carousing and attempting to walk along the slippy set of buoys when one of them fell into the water and failed to surface again.

Pattaya Police collected evidence at the scene and took a series of photographs. The body of the deceased was transported to hospital for a post mortem to be carried out. As is the custom the Russian Embassy in Bangkok will be notified of the death of one of it's citizens.
