Pattaya Motorcycle Taxi Driver Robbed

At 4am on the 25th of November Police Captain Thitiwat of the Pattaya Police was called to a motorcycle stand in South Pattaya to interview a taxi driver Khun Rewat who had just reported that he had been robbed at gun point.

Khun Rewat said that he had just taken a foreign customer to North Pattaya as he was returning to his taxi rank he was flagged down by a man who said he wanted to go to Naklua Market. He agreed to take the customer, the man got on the bike but after about 300 metres the customer pulled a gun and ordered Khun Rewat to turn into a dark alley. He then relieved the taxi driver of his motorcycle - a blue Honda Wave that was only a month old and drove off at speed.

He was able to give the police a good description of the robber. 160 cm tall wearing a white cap, white long sleeved shirt and jeans. The police sent out the information by radio to units in the area but were unfortunately unable to trace the highway robber.
