Volunteers from The YWCA, The Lions Club of Pattaya and Tourist Police Volunteers led by none other than the mayor of Pattaaya Khun Itthipol decided to have a night out in Walking Street. Their aim was not the usual tourist pleasures but to relieve the tourists in the area of their hard earned money.
43,400 baht was raised from the donations of the usual mix of Walking Street philanthropists and duly handed over to Mr. Eugene Capistrano of Christ's Foundation For Life who will forward the money to The Philippine government. In order to help the people of the Philippines after the recent devastating Typhoon Haynan ravaged the island nation.
