Infant Drowns in Chonburi

Police Leutenant Pracharak of the Chonburi Police attended the scene of a tragic accident supported by a unit of a rescue Foundation after they had received reports of a young child drowning.

At the scene they were confronted with a grief stricken mother holding a wrapped bundle that was the body of her two year old son.

The mother aged 36 had left the infant in the care of some of her relatives while she took her eldest son to school. When she returned she could not find her son. A frantic search ensued and then the boy was found by a neighbour. He appears to have fallen through a gap in some wooden planking of a bridge and fallen into the water below.
