Banglamung Police Shoot Out Tyres

At 10am on the 11th of November Senior Banglamung police officers were called to the scene of an incident on Sukhumvit road where a Toyota Vios had crashed into a street pylon outside of a second-hand car showroom near Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. The car had crashed after police had shot out the tyres. The vehicle was riddled with bullet holes on the outside and also on the inside. 

Inside the vehicle was a young lady Khun Chanyanan aged 35 who had been shot in the chest and face by her boyfriend Khun Siwanutpipat aged 20 who works as a Security Guard at an oil company in Leam Chabang. The shots inside the vehicle were fired by Khun Siwanutpipat who new the game was up after the police disabled his vehicle and he had tried to murder his girlfriend and then attempted to kill himself.

The couple were extracted from the vehicle and rushed by rescue workers from The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation to the nearby Bangkok Pattaya Hospital where they remain in a serious condition and the boyfriend is under police guard who wait to talk to him when he is in a fit state to talk. The police removed evidence from the blood stained car including a .38mm pistol and ammunition. 

Police had earlier received a report from a maid at The Wongamat Residence Hotel in Soi 16 off the Naklua Road after a maid had alerted the authorities when she saw a young Thai man dragging a young lady out of the hotel at gunpoint and forcing her into the Toyota. Police soon spotted the vehicle and gave chase resulting in the crash and the two shooting victims.

Khun Picha aged 28, the sister of the alleged gunman was interviewed and said that the couple frequently quarrelled and this incident probably resulted from her brother's uncontrollable jealousy.
