Pattaya Police were on the alert for a foreigner of middle eastern appearance who they thought was dealing in class 1 narcotics. The police had earlier arrested a Thai man for possession of Yaa Ice (Crystal Methamphetamine) who gave a description of the foreigner who had sold him the bag of drugs in a convenience store in Jomtien Soi7
The man was later spotted hanging around in Central Pattaya. He was stopped and searched by drugs suppression officers. They found a bag of Yaa Ice weighing 2.26 grammes each, a quantity of class 2 narcotics, 7,900 Baht in cash and a mobile phone.
The suspect gave his name as Sasha but refused to give his full name, nationality and was unable to tender a passport. Sasha is being held on drug related charges while officers attempt to ascertain his full name and country of origin and working with The Immigration Police to see if he has a valid visa.
