Chonburi Bangsean Beach Rubbish Right Now

Bangsaen Beach is a pleasant location about 40km north of Pattaya between Srtiracha and Chonburi. The long crescent of sandy beach reminds me what Pattaya was like 25 years ago apart from the lack of bars that is.

Thai tourists mainly from Chonburi and Bangkok visit Bangsean regularly as it has a reputation for fine fresh sea food restaurants.

However there's trouble at beach. Bangsean Beach Rubbish Right Now. High tides and stormy seas have turned the water not so much a whiter shade of pale as a mucky slag heap black. tons of garbage is being deposited on the sandy shore and municipal workers are fighting a losing battle to cart away the crap before the next tide deposits more muck.

At least the restaurants are doing good business as tourists are electing to sit and enjoy the fresh food rather than to sit on the not so fresh beach.
