At 4:30 am on 13 Jul 56 Police Captain (Vishnu Chaisuwan) of The Pattaya Police
along with other Police officers arrested a Mr SuthatRerGiap RuangSuk aged 33 from Pitchit province for being in possession of Yaa Ice (Methamphetamine) he had on his person five bags of Yaa Ice. Three bags weighing 0.38 grams each, one bag weighing 0.36 grams and one bag weighing 0.37 in total 1.87 grams of Yaa Ice. He was also in possession of a bag of marijuana weighing 10.90 grams. The arrest was made on the beach opposite Soi Pattaya Land.
The Police officer knew that there were drugs being sold to teenagers and tourists on the beach and went undercover to watch and monitor any illegal behavior of this kind. He spotted Mr Suthat who was in the act of selling marijuana to tourists and moved in to make an arrest.
Other officials involved in the raid also found the bags of Yaa Ice hidden in his belt. He was promptly arrested and detained for further investigation. Initially Mr Suthat admitted to possession of the marijuana but as is the way with these dug dealers said he was totally oblivious of the Yass Ice in his belt and had no idea where it might have come from.
The investigating officers were not convinced with his story and detained him pending further investigation and prosecution for drug possession.
